Feature Film: (Saturday 15th October, 13:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). A warm and personal history of the changing face of lesbian life and culture in Britain from the 1920s to the 1990s. 16 women from various backgrounds give first-hand accounts in two documentaries, first shown on Channel 4 as part of the ground-breaking 1980’s TV series: ‘Out On Tuesday’, with a Shropshire twist!
Feature Film: (Saturday 15th October, 20:00 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). In 1971, Carole, Parisian feminist campaigner and Delphine, rural farm worker, meet, fall in love and discover how the balance of a life can change forever on the strength of one fateful choice.
Feature Film: (Sunday 16th October, 13:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). Desert Hearts (1985) is our classic choice. Ahead of its time and ‘before lesbian chic’, it was the first feature film to depict a lesbian relationship favourably and, at the time, considered pretty risque! Not to be missed in 2016!
Feature Film: (Friday 14th October, 18:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). Randy is hiding a secret inner struggle and denial of his true self.
Feature Film: (Sunday 16th October, 15:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). The film is inspired by the real life ordeal of 64-year-old Professor Siras (played by Manoj Bajpayee), who was suspended by the Aligarh University for being homosexual.
Feature Film: (Sunday 16th October, 18:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). A male youth begins exploring his attraction to older men.
Feature Film: (Saturday 15th October, 16:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). REAL BOY is the coming of age story of a transgender teen on a journey to find his voice — as a musician, a son, a friend, and a man.
