Feature Film: (Sunday 18th October, 13:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). In 1960s London, barrister Melville Farr’s life is near perfect, with a loving marriage and successful career. However, when blackmailers link Farr to a young gay man, everything Farr has worked for is threatened.
Feature Film: (Saturday 17th October, 20:00 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). For Shirin, being part of a perfect family isn’t easy. Acceptance eludes her from all sides: her family doesn’t know she’s bisexual, and her ex-girlfriend, Maxine, can’t understand why she doesn’t tell them.
Feature Film: (Friday 16th October, 20:00 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). Leonardo and Giovana are best friends. Like all teenagers they yearn for more independence and, being blind, Leonardo even more so. They dream of going abroad and of experiencing love’s first kiss. Gabriel, the new boy at school, becomes fast friends with them both, but ultimately three becomes a crowd.
Feature Film: (Saturday 17th October, 16:30 – The Old Market Hall Cinema). Royal Intelligence Ministry agent, Jayson Bend, teams up with a Swiss agent to try and stop the launch of a satellite that will turn the owner of the largest global hair salon chain into one of the most powerful men in the world.
Short Film: (Sunday Morning Shorts – 11:00 18th Oct 2015 – The Hive). New Year’s Eve 1999 finds college-bound Clark and Trevor concerned about the future of their friendship, and a request for Clark to be Trevor’s wingman ensures things will never be the same again.
Short Film: (Saturday Morning Shorts – 10:15 17th Oct 2015-Old Market Hall). The story of Sam, who is transitioning from female to male. We see the changes he is undergoing to achieve the body he wants, and how he is coming to accept these.
Short Film: (Sunday Morning Shorts – 11:00 18th Oct 2015 – The Hive). The bachelorette Stefanie is a young woman who, at 26 years old, has not yet managed to live in an environment in which she can truly be herself.
Short Film: (Sunday Morning Shorts – 11:00 18th Oct 2015 – The Hive). Alex feels attracted to Samuel, and even though his best friend warns him he has a girlfriend, something makes him think he is not that indifferent.
Short Film: (Sunday Morning Shorts – 11:00 18th Oct 2015 – The Hive). A short documentary exploring the taboo of homosexuality in surfing culture. Three vastly different Australian surfers discuss their perspectives on why being gay in the lineup is still taboo and the experiences they’ve had growing up in a country full of surf, sand and waves.
Short Film: (Saturday Morning Shorts – 10:15 17th Oct 2015-Old Market Hall). BULLS focuses on a current taboo within sport, homosexuality players. The short film explain the reason as to why gay men moved from ‘traditional’ rugby leagues in favour of gay rugby tournaments.
