Synopsis
Rita is about to kick the bucket, but before she does she’s got one last job to do: drag her granddaughter out of the closet.

Fascinated by human nature and the emotional extremes of the individual, Susan’s films reflect her passion. Her work has been described as ‘Elegant’ (Time Out), and ‘Hearteningly diverse in style and subject’ (The Independent).
Susan’s films have won awards across the globe. Her feature film, THE HOLDING (distributed by Lionsgate) won Best Director at Fantasporto & Best Director at Estapoona Fantasy Film Festival amongst other awards, and has enjoyed a successful worldwide online & DVD release. Her short films have had huge support, most notably ONE HUNDREDTH OF A SECOND (co-produced by the UK Film Council) won Best Film at The Manhattan Short Film Festival amongst many others and became a YouTube sensation.
Susan’s films have been selected by Women in Film and Television International for their Worldwide Showcase. She is a Guiding Lights Alumni and was mentored by Gillies MacKinnon (HIDEOUS KINKEY, REGENERATION). Susan regularly directs for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the BAFTA headquarters in London and internationally.
Susan runs her Production Company, Pistachio Pictures with her business partner and fellow Producer, Alex Boden. The scope of the projects they produce is diverse, from television, documentaries and drama. Most recently the documentary about PULP starring Jarvis Cocker, which won Best Music Film at the NME Awards.
